Chinese Medical Team Report Successful Treatment of Coronavirus Patients With High-Dose Vitamin C

A medical team from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University in China has reported the successful treatment of coronavirus patients with vitamin C. In a press release posted on the hospital website, the team describes how patients suffering from severe coronary pneumonia, a potentially fatal complication of the new coronavirus COVID-19, have recovered after being treated with high doses of the vitamin. The medical team recommend that for critically ill patients and those with severe neonatal pneumonia, vitamin C treatment should be initiated as soon as possible after admission to hospital. https://www.dr-rath-foundation.org/2020/03/chinese-medical-team-report-successful-treatment-of-coronavirus-patients-with-high-dose-vitamin-c/

Forgiveness – A Gift You Give Yourself

Many of us try to feel loved and fill a void within by shopping, and buying gifts “things” for others.  At times this causes increased stress because it is not within the person’s budget! Imagine being able to give a priceless gift that will not require a trip to the mall, a shopping cart, a credit card or cash in hand. This priceless gift will benefit you just as much as or even more so than the receiver.  The priceless gift that I’m speaking of is the gift of forgiveness.

While the pleasure of exchanging material gifts is thrilling but short-lived, the freedom from forgiveness is everlasting.

Forgiveness can change your life.  It is one of the Treasures of the Tao.

Forgiveness does not mean you erase the past, or forget what has happened. It doesn’t even mean the other person will change their behavior — you cannot control that. All it means is that you are letting go of the anger and pain, and moving on to a better place.

“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” – Lewis B. Smedes

Forgiveness allows you to access your personal power and choose releasing pain from your heart.  Forgiving others begins with being able to forgive yourself. Then you are able to forgive others, which in turn frees you.

Our Teacher Master Chen says:

“The goal of a human life is to stay in peace, tranquility and stillness. To preserve the root of peacefulness, that is the goal”.  Now, once you lose the goal, you go out chasing after emotions, and then get attached to emotions and end up feeling like a victim.  If you don’t forgive others you end up feeling you have become a victim.  When you become a victim you lose the fun and joy in life.  You lose it.  Now you have to ask yourself, are you willing to sacrifice your joy and the fun in your life by going after revenge and persecution?  Not to forgive?

So if you can see the goal of peacefulness, and your goal is to preserve this, then you know that you need to do.   It comes from within.  Forgiveness is really from your inner spirit, it is spiritual wisdom.  You have the power, strength and wisdom to forgive.

This in turn makes room in your heart for all the benefits of forgiveness such as; inner peace, love, harmony, compassion and unity.  These positive emotions flourish in the absence of pain and anger.

Life is all about choices….which do you choose now?

8 Things that Happen When You Finally Stop Drinking Diet Soda

Here’s why you won’t miss it!dietcoke

You’ve decided to give up diet soda—good idea! Maybe you weren’t hitting your weight-loss goals or couldn’t stomach that long list of ingredients anymore. Or perhaps you heard one too many times that it’s just not good for you.

Whatever the reason, eliminating diet soda from your diet will improve your health from head to toe. Research on diet soda is still in its infancy, but there’s enough out there to identify what you can look forward to when you put down the can and cool down with an unsweetened iced tea instead.

Migraines Disappear and Focus Sharpens
It turns out the headaches you expected from a diet-soda withdrawal didn’t materialize. And now that you’ve quit the stuff, you probably find yourself thinking clearly for the first time in a while. That’s because the chemicals that make up the artificial sweetener aspartame may have altered brain chemicals, nerve signals, and the brain’s reward system, which leads to headaches, anxiety, and insomnia, according to a review in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition. And a 2013 animal study found that rats that drank diet soda had damaged cells and nerve endings in the cerebellum—the part of the brain responsible for motor skills. (If you’re still drinking diet soda, here’s what’s happening in your body right now.)

Taste Buds Are More Sensitive
It’s not your imagination: Without your usual diet soda chaser, you may find that food has more flavor. It has subtlety. It’s more enjoyable. That’s because the artificial sweeteners in your diet soda overwhelmed your taste buds with an onslaught of sweetness. Aspartame ranks 200 hundreds times sweeter than table sugar. Splenda? 600 times. In fact, brain scans show that diet soda alters sweet receptors in the brain and prolongs sugar cravings rather than satisfies them. “We often see patients change snack choices when they give up diet soda,” says Heather Bainbridge, R.D., from Columbia University Medical Center Weight Control Center. “Rather than needing sugary treats or something really salty like pretzels and chips, they reach for an apple and a piece of cheese. And when they try diet soda again, they find it intolerably sweet.”

The Scale Finally Goes the Right Way
While you may have started drinking diet soda to facilitate weight loss, quitting it may actually do the trick. A recent nine-year study found older adults who drank diet soda continued to pack on belly fat. The study piggybacks on research that found each daily diet soda increases your chance of becoming obese in the next decade by 65 percent, and a study published in Diabetes Care that found drinking diet soft drinks daily was associated with an increase in metabolic syndrome—obesity, high blood-pressure, high triglycerides—which leads to heart disease and diabetes.

Bones Strengthen
Putting down the soda may be the best way to improve your bone strength and reduce your risk of fractures. One 2014 study found that each daily soda increased the chance of hip fracture by 14 percent for postmenopausal women. And another found that older women who drank cola had lower bone mineral density in their hips. The jury is still out on why soda has this effect, but the science pretty clearly suggests that a soda habit weakens your bones.

Your Attitude Toward Food Changes
Since diet sodas have no calories, people drinking them often feel it’s okay to indulge elsewhere, finds Bainbridge. Often, she sees her diet soda-drinking patients make poor food choices, like a burger and fries, a piece of cake, or potato chips because they think they can afford those extra calories. Plus, soda often accompanies unhealthy foods. “Sometimes, those poor choices are built-up habits,” she says. “You’re conditioned to have soda with chips, fries, or something sweet. When you eliminate the soft drink, you also break the junk food habit.”

You Handle Booze Better
It’s a fact: Diet soda gets you drunk faster. When you mix it with alcohol, your stomach empties out faster than if you used regular soda, causing a drastic increase in blood-alcohol concentrations, according to an Australian study in the American Journal of Medicine. And when you add caffeine, look out. Another study in the journal Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research found that bar patrons who mixed drinks with diet colas were intoxicated much more easily and frequently. Your best bet for a mixer? Club soda, which is naturally sugar- and calorie-free.
For more information on how you can eliminate harmful sugar from your diet for good, check out the Sugar Smart Express.

Your Fat Storage and Diabetes Risks Decrease
Our hormones may explain the great paradox of why people gain weight when they switch to diet soda. A study in Diabetes Care found that drinking two-thirds of a diet soda before eating primed the pancreas to release a lot of the fat-storing hormone insulin. When the pancreas is overworked from creating insulin to control blood-sugar levels, diabetes rears its ugly head. And a recent study in Japan found that middle-aged men who drank one or more diet sodas daily were much more likely to develop type 2 diabetes over a seven-year period.

Kidney Function Improves
Now that your body no longer has to make sense of the unpronounceable ingredients in diet soda, your kidneys can get back to clearing toxins, stabilizing blood pressure, and absorbing minerals. One study looked at 11 years of data and found that women who drank two or more servings of diet soda doubled their chances of declining kidney function.

What Is Your Health Worth To You??

Health is a term which represents the quality and balance of your mind, body & spirit.  All the parts which make the whole need to be addressed.

You ask how?, What does it mean?

The Ancient Master of Taoism Lao Tzu teaches:

“The journey of 1,000 miles, begins with one step at a time”

So let us begin with baby steps, on your road to optimal health, naturally through the miracle of lifestyle changes.

Detoxificationstomach heart

Everyone is affected by toxins. It can be from the environment, the foods, the water, and even from toxic relationships.

Begin by cleaning the gastrointestinal system.  More than 70% of the immune system receptors are in “the gut”.  When the GI system is out of balance it manifests in many of the symptoms and diagnoses that we see daily– diabetes, hypertension, fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic fatigue, irritable bowels, cancer and many others.

Through the Institute of Functional Medicine we follow the “5 Rs“:

1.  Remove — Remove stressors: get rid of things that negatively affect the environment of the GI tract including allergic foods and parasites or other bad bugs such as bacteria or yeast. This might involve using an allergy “elimination diet”.

2.  Replace — Replace digestive secretions: add back things like digestive enzymes, hydrochloric acid, and bile acids that are required for proper digestion and that may be compromised by diet, drugs, diseases, aging, or other factors.

3.  Reinoculate — Help beneficial bacteria flourish by ingesting probiotic foods or supplements that contain the so-called “good” GI bacteria such as bifidobacteria and lactobacillus species, and by consuming the high soluble fiber foods that good bugs like to eat, called “prebiotics.” Probiotics are beneficial microorganisms found in the gut that are also called “friendly bacteria.” Use of antibiotics kills both good and bad bacteria.

4.  Repair — Help the lining of the GI tract repair itself by supplying key nutrients that can often be in short supply in a disease state, such as zinc, antioxidants (e.g. vitamins A, C, and E), fish oil, and the amino acid glutamine.

5.  Rebalance — Pay attention to lifestyle choices – sleep, exercise and stress can all affect the GI tract.

Nutrition

Eliminate the most popular allergens: Dairy, wheat, gluten, simple sugars, artificial sweeteners.

Eat more vegetables, fruits and clean animal protein. Organics whenever possible and follow a protocol of proper nutraceuticals.

The Core Balance Diet book brings forth the study of nutrigenomics, which teaches how nutrients and lifestyle choices interact with genes and influence cellular activities.

This is why scientists say: “you are what you eat”.

Now there is increasing evidence that your feelings also release biochemicals that influence. So it’s also accurate to say: “you are what you think and feel”.

Stress Management

  1. Identify Sources of stress.

Prolonged stress may lead to exhaustion of your adrenal glands, which play a critical role     in helping you to deal with stress. Adrenal exhaustion becomes a vicious cycle that            includes depression, fatigue, feelings of anxiety, and lowered resistance to illness. It is in   your best interest to prevent adrenal exhaustion from occurring by developing healthy       stress-management techniques.

  1. Decide how to change the way that you handle it.

You have a choice to handle your stress, or have the stress handle you.

Exercise

Explore and find forms of exercise that motivate you.

Critical is to begin with stretches.  Next, look at different cardio programs like: walking, cycling, swimming might be some to consider.

Follow with toning and strengthening.

Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Yoga, and Pilates are some examples for combining the above.

Spirit Nutrition

Many people focus on feeding the body, while starving the spirit.

Connect with the belief in something greater than yourself, nurture this and you’ll have a better chance of staying healthy longer and healing faster if you become ill.

Use any tools that motivate you. Whether its through meditation, prayer, soft music, or connecting with nature. Feed your spirit.

If we could give every individual the right amount of nourishment and exercise, not too little and not too much, we will have found the safest way to health.”  …  Hippocrates Circa 400BC

Is There A Correlation Between Vaccinations And Children Mortality Rates?

This seems to be a controversial topic these days with many strong opinions on both sides. What do you think?  Let’s look at some of the data.

The tables indicate that the U.S. is 34th in Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). All 33 countries with less infant mortality under the age of one year receive less vaccinations. There are many facts and figures to substantiate this statement. Please take a few minutes to review this article. The infant mortality rate is expressed as the number of infant deaths per 1000 live births.  http://thinktwice.com/HET_study.pdf

According to the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), which keeps accurate, up-to-date infant mortality statistics throughout the world, in 2009 there were 33 nations with better infant mortality rates than the United States (Table 1). The US infant mortality rate of 6.22 infant deaths per 1000 live births ranked 34th.

A literature review was conducted to determine the immunization schedules for the United States and all 33 nations with better IMRs than the United States. The total number of vaccine doses specified for infants aged less than 1 year was then determined for each country (Table 2). A vaccine dose is an exact amount of medicine or drug to be administered. The number of doses a child receives should not be confused with the number of ‘vaccines’ or ‘injections’ given. For example, DTaP is given as a single injection but contains three separate vaccines (for diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis) totaling three vaccine doses effect of toxicity.

Vaccines contain a combination of at least 39 different toxic additives, preservatives and cell types introduced during the manufacturing process.

These vaccine contaminants have included bovine (cow), avian (chicken) and monkey viruses and bacteria such as streptococcus in the DTP (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis) vaccine [Pediatrics, Vol. 75, No. 2, Feb 1985] and Serratia marcesens in the influenza vaccines [2004 influenza season]. For example, DTP, a common vaccine given to most newborns, is produced using formaldehyde, aluminum hydroxide, aluminum phosphate, polysorbate 80 and gelatin. In some cases, thimerosal (mercury) still is used. The polio vaccine is produced using three types of polio virus and can contain formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol (antifreeze), sucrose (table sugar), neomycin, streptomycin, polymyxin B and VERO cells (a continuous line of monkey kidney cells).

It is also important to consider an infant’s developing filtering system for eliminating toxins. For example, aluminum is eliminated from the body primarily through the kidneys. Infant kidney function (glomerular filtration rate) is low at birth and does not reach full capacity until one to two years of age. [Simmer, K. Aluminium in Infancy. In: Zatta PF, Alfrey AC. (Eds) Aluminium Toxicity in Infants’ Health and Disease. 1997, World Scientific Publishing.] The cumulative effect of these toxins, particularly the heavy metals, is hotly debated.

The current schedule of recommended vaccines is so crowded that doctors give babies several shots during a single office visit — up to eight vaccines all at one time.  Parents — and doctors — often forget that vaccines are drugs. How often do we, as adults, take that many drugs at the same time? Would we be more surprised if we did or did not have an adverse reaction?

In 1985 the schedule was as follow: 18 vaccines by 6 months, 33 vaccines by 5 years. Lets fast forward to 2010: 51 vaccines in 15 shots by 6 months (some are combined several in 1 shot), 77 vaccines in 23 shots by school, 95 vaccines if also had been getting the flu shot which is 3 in 1. Now 20 more are added with the adolescent group of vaccines.

The decision to vaccinate or not is important and complex. Parents must take on the responsibility to seek enough information to make an educated, informed decision.

Dr. Mayer Eisenstein has practiced medicine, delivered babies, and provided families with preventive healthcare services for over 35 years. His book “Don’t Vaccinate Before You Educate” is  an honest guide to childhood shots especially for concerned parents. With Dr. Eisenstein’s help, it is now possible to make informed vaccine decisions.

Armed with as much information as possible, parents then can make the choice in consultation with their own health-care providers. If choosing to vaccinate, they can consider waiting until after 2 years old to allow the brain enough time build up defenses.

Another suggestion is building the immune system before during and after the event using good quality Vitamin C, Vit D, Coloidal Silver, Fish Oil, Homeopathics are some other suggestions.

In an article Dr Sherri Tenpenny says:

“We’ve all been taught that germs are bad and they are lurking around every corner, waiting to invade defenseless humans. Doctors and the media talk about swine flu as though getting the flu is an inevitable catastrophe unless, of course, we are injected with the life-saving flu shot.

We go to great lengths to combat these potential invaders: frequent hand-washing, learning to cough in our sleeves and grimacing at the thought of eating a morsel retrieved from the floor. Is all this necessary? Or is there a different view?”

Challenging Pasteur’s mechanistic idea of disease—finding the right cure (drug) for each germ—was the seed of the pharmaceutical empire. Nonetheless, it is most unfortunate that Pasteur’s premise was accepted as complete to the exclusion of all others.

The frailty of the immune system is a medical myth. We need a better understanding of the relationship between humans and microbes to live in optimal health. The immune system is the complex interaction between white blood cells, antibodies, hormones, proteins, enzymes, and inflammatory molecules called cytokines. All act in silent synchrony to maintain health. The body is exposed to billions of microbes on the skin, in the mouth, in the digestive tract, and on everything we touch. Microbes that coexist with humans are called symbionts—organisms we have a beneficial relationship with, and are considered to be part of, our normal flora.

The immune system can easily recognize non-symbionts and effectively eliminates them. This process occurs thousands of times per day with little fanfare. However, it is not the “invasion” by external microbes that leads to symptoms known as an infection; it is the compromise of the immune system due to the contamination of the terrain that allows this to occur.

Health is about the condition of the body called the “terrain,” or its “soil,” and only when the immune system’s soil is disrupted and contaminated can pathogens propagate. Supporting the body through this elimination process with homeopathy, herbs, and Chinese medicine – instead of suppressing the symptoms with Western medicine’s tools – may be a key to long-term health and longevity.

Dr Lemire has delivered over 500 babies during his 37 years of practicing. Even though he no longer delivers, he is still having newborns and children in the practice.  At Lemire Clinic we do not give childhood vaccines. Parents are educated and supported in their choices.

The Power of Gratitude

Gratitude is a very high vibrational energy and one of the most powerful energies in the universe. Gratitude is described as: The Great Attitude.

Gratitude produces feelings of joy and self acceptance says Dr. Robert Anderson. Being grateful for what you have instead of worrying about what you are lacking helps to let go of negative thoughts and attitudes.

Louise Hay of Hay House says she is thankful for every bill she receives, and thankful for the money to pay it. It makes sense that she is now an internationally recognized name and owns one of the biggest publishing houses in the world.

There is something magical about being thankful and appreciative for everything you experience. It stops you from focusing on the negative which is very easy to do. Somehow your mind seems addicted to worry, but gratitude can help break that cycle.

Thoughts create your reality, so by focusing on what you are thankful for will attract more of that into your world. When you practice it often, it will become second nature. So make your focus positive and practice giving thanks for everything.

Studies have shown that it’s very healthy to keep a gratitude journal, and every night before drifting off to sleep, review all that has happened during the day for which you are grateful.

Grateful people sleep better, and this seems to be because they think less negative and more positive thoughts just before going to sleep.

Science tells us that an “attitude of gratitude” is a good health choice. Being more grateful more often makes us happier and more optimistic. But gratitude also adds to the bottom line – in very real ways. And the best about gratitude is that it requires little time and no money.

Here are five reasons gratitude improves your productivity and results:

Gratitude attracts what we want. The universal law says that you will attract into your life the things you think about and focus on. Since this is true, wouldn’t you want more of what you are thankful for? Remember that when you are consciously aware of your blessings, and are grateful for them, you are focusing more clearly on what you do want in your life – and are attracting more of those things into your life.

Gratitude improves relationships. We learn the importance of saying “thank you” as little children. We are taught that habit because it is “good manners.” This childhood lesson is extremely powerful. Think about those people that you know who are most appreciative of you – and let you know it. How do you feel about them? Does their appreciation positively impact your relationship with them? Of course it does! Be grateful for people, their contributions, their talents and their actions – and make sure you let them know how you feel.

Gratitude reduces negativity. It is hard to be negative about your situation when you are thinking about things for which you are grateful. One of the fastest ways to improve your mood or outlook is to count your blessings.

Gratitude improves problem solving skills. Too often you look at problem solving with a very jaded view. “Something is wrong. You have barriers in your way. Then, you have to put in effort to fix it.” Conversely, when you think about what you are grateful for you open your mind up to new possibilities and connections. Grateful people also have less negative coping strategies, being less likely to try to avoid the problem, deny there is a problem, blame themselves, or cope through substance use.

Gratitude helps you learn. Behind every problem lies an opportunity. Being grateful for your situation, even if you don’t like everything about it – allows you to be thankful for the opportunity to learn something new.

10 Facts about Fluoride

According to the handbook, Clinical Toxicology of Commercial Products, fluoride is more poisonous than lead and just slightly less poisonous than arsenic. It is a cumulative poison that accumulates in bone over the years. According to the Physicians Desk Reference, “in hypersensitive individuals, fluorides occasionally cause skin eruptions such as atopic dermatitis, eczema, or urticaria. Gastric distress, headache, and weakness have also been reported. These hypersensitive reactions usually disappear promptly after discontinuation of the fluoride.”

From 1990 to 1992, the Journal of the American Medical Association published three separate articles linking increased hip fracture rates to fluoride in the water. In the March 22, 1990 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, Mayo Clinic researchers reported that fluoride treatment of osteoporosis increased hip fracture rate and bone fragility.

97% of western Europe has chosen fluoride-free water. This includes: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, and Switzerland. (While some European countries add fluoride to salt, the majority do not.) Thus, rather than mandating fluoride treatment for the whole population, western Europe allows individuals the right to choose, or refuse, fluoride.

Contrary to previous belief, fluoride has minimal benefit when swallowed. When water fluoridation began in the 1940s and ’50s, dentists believed that fluoride needed to be swallowed in order to be most effective. This belief, however, has now been discredited by an extensive body of modern research (1).According to the Centers for Disease Control, fluoride’s “predominant effect is posteruptive and topical” (2). In other words, any benefits that accrue from the use of fluoride, come from the direct application of fluoride to the outside of teeth (after they have erupted into the mouth) and not from ingestion.

Adverse effects from fluoride ingestion have been associated with doses attainable by people living in fluoridated areas. For example:

Risk to the brain. According to the National Research Council (NRC), fluoride can damage the brain. Animal studies conducted in the 1990s by EPA scientists found dementia-like effects at the same concentration (1 ppm) used to fluoridate water, while human studies have found adverse effects on IQ at levels as low as 0.9 ppm among children with nutrient deficiencies, and 1.8 ppm among children with adequate nutrient intake. (7-10)

Risk to the thyroid gland. According to the NRC, fluoride is an “endocrine disrupter.” Most notably, the NRC has warned that doses of fluoride (0.01-0.03 mg/kg/day) achievable by drinking fluoridated water, may reduce the function of the thyroid among individuals with low-iodine intake. Reduction of thyroid activity can lead to loss of mental acuity, depression and weight gain (11)

Risk to bones. According to the NRC, fluoride can diminish bone strength and increase the risk for bone fracture. While the NRC was unable to determine what level of fluoride is safe for bones, it noted that the best available information suggests that fracture risk may be increased at levels as low 1.5 ppm, which is only slightly higher than the concentration (0.7-1.2 ppm) added to water for fluoridation. (12)

Risk for bone cancer. Animal and human studies – including a recent study from a team of Harvard scientists – have found a connection between fluoride and a serious form of bone cancer (osteosarcoma) in males under the age of 20. The connection between fluoride and osteosarcoma has been described by the National Toxicology Program as “biologically plausible.” Up to half of adolescents who develop osteosarcoma die within a few years of diagnosis. (13-16)

Risk to kidney patients. People with kidney disease have a heightened susceptibility to fluoride toxicity. The heightened risk stems from an impaired ability to excrete fluoride from the body. As a result, toxic levels of fluoride can accumulate in the bones, intensify the toxicity of aluminum build-up, and cause or exacerbate a painful bone disease known as renal osteodystrophy. (17-19)^

Recognizing a Stroke

Recognizing signs of stroke

It only takes a minute to read this…

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke…totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Thank God for the sense to remember the ’3′ steps, STR . Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
